I am considering purchasing a new scanner. The one I currently have is going on 5 years and although it still works, I would like to upgrade to something that will scan faster. I use the Kurzweil 1000 version 9 and was just curious to know if anyone had any recommendations on what type of scanner or brand name would work best with my scanning software? My poor scanner is so old that they don't even make the model anymore or even have support information for it. It's an HP by the way...

I recommend epson scanners, i've used two of them and they work very well. Kurzweil is pretty forgiving about scanners, but kurzweil does maintain an extensive list of supported scanners.
Either use online news from kesi, or look around on the website.
